Tokyo Day 1.

We had to spend the night at Haneda Airport as we reached the airport nearly 1 a.m. No access to the hotel except via cab which was beyond our budget. So we decided to sleep at the airport to catch the earliest Airport Limo Bus in the morning. But worry not, the internet access within the terminal is super fast. You can occupy yourself watching movies etc. And a lot of locals slept at the airport too.So I felt safe there. There was also a 24-hour convenient store at the ground floor of the terminal. So keep urself busy with ‘grocery’ shopping.haha

We stayed in Kasai area. Not so near Tokyo City.but if you are there for Disneyland this is the place to stay in. It’s about 15mins bus ride to Disneyland Resort and the bus station is few walks away from the hotel. and the hotel is near the subway station too. It is definitely easy for you to move about. The subway map is available at the hotel. You just have to ask the minute you get there and spend a few minutes to study the route. You’ll be familiar with it after a few days there. When we reached the hotel it was around 8 a.m. We checked in the hotel and...... we SLEPT until 3 p.m. When we woke up it was already like 6 p.m in Malaysia since it was winter so the day is rather short.

 The Rainbow Bridge

 Joypolis

 Legoland Discovery Center

Toyota Mega Web

We spent the evening exploring Odaiba area. Toyota Mega Web, Joypolis, Rainbow bridge - they are all located near to each other. You can easily access them by train. So we did enjoy the first day there even though we had tough time dealing with the weather.

*Oh, since it was hard to get halal food there we decided to bring a rice cooker (kau percaya tak?) i even brought cili padi, beras, sardines etc. To our disappointment, we couldn't use the rice cooker bcos the output was too low - did not suit the capacity of Malaysia electrical appliances (What my hubs told me tp aku tak paham pn). I got the rice cooked before leaving the hotel, after few hours, got back to hotel, the rice wasn’t cooked at all. but just left it on and went to sleep. Woke up in the morning dan nasi sudah menjadi bubur.tp guaaaa telan ajeeee.because we were famishhhhhh. So we learnt the trick, we would leave the rice cooker on every time we went out and when we got back, tadaaaaaa the bubur is readyyyy for us.

So done with the first day.

XOXO

Japan Trip

I love traveling as I love to experience different cultures and background. So when we chose Tokyo as our ‘Honeymoon’ spot in 2011, I decided to go free and easy not with travel agency or tour group. Traveling with people that you don’t really know is annoying and tiring sometimes (for me it is) but for some it gives you the comfort of traveling as you don’t have to learn the public transportation system of the country and you don’t really have to experience getting lost while trying to find your way to some places. But for me, that is the art of travelling. I never tired of those. I love the experience.

So, why Tokyo? Simply because I LOVEEEEEE DISNEYLAND. Since Tokyo is famous for it’s Disneyland so Tokyo is the place. Here’s our itinerary. I did all the research (mainly through blog hopping)

2 years and counting.

It’s been 2 years of marriage. Of course there are ups and downs along the way but it has been AWESOME so far.

So introducing the love of my life, Noor Hidayat Noralam. The name says it all, one of a kind. ‘Noor’ in a man’s name. Awkward when I heard it for the first time. Teaching in the same school makes the mengenal-hati-budi process even easier. Seriously. You get to look at how he organises his stuffs at his working station, how he marks his students’ book, how he writes his register.  Yes, u can call me a stalker of my own husband hehe.

But knowing him for less than a year before I opted to end my ‘bujang’ era means ample of things to learn about him. So I seriously got no choice but to stalk u braduhhhh. Marilah walk down the memory lane sat of how I got to know this man and what made me say Yes to you. onyonyoonyo...

So he is older than me. He had been in teaching in Sarawak for almost 5 years and after cukup ‘Haul’ atau dengan kata lain gained puberty he asked for a transfer to Batu Pahat(BP) with the intention of taking care of his parents (Nampak tak soleh kat situ?). and he finally got it.

At the other side of the world, I was struggling to adapt myself at a place I couldn’t call a home. I got my first posting in Batu Pahat. I seriously had no idea about this place. The only thing I could recall about BP was UTHM (went there once for debate Kepenggunaan when i was in college) and I remember my lecturers stopped at Pekan Parit Raja (which I thought was the Bandar Batu Pahat) to buy some kerepek. I was cursing the KPM of why they had to send me to Johor. I didn’t put Johor as my choice when I filled in the borang posting. My parents did call some people to ask for help. Tp as usual la, when results were out online, u obviously couldn’t do anything. So I learnt my lesson, kalau nak usaha, start immediately, jangan delay, jangan malas. But Alhamdulillah Batu Pahat isn’t bad at all. Plus I was posted to a Cluster School, SMK (P) Temenggong Ibrahim. So I have no problems dealing with the kids. Workloads? I believe semua tempat pun sama. So I’m ok with it and I survived the 1st year in Batu Pahat with style.:))

During my attempt of digesting the fact that BP has become my tempat bermastautin, I sometimes broke down and kept asking myself why did they put me here? And finally this man came and answered the question that had always been running inside my mind. He’s always been a good friend and a good brother to me. He always tried to impress me with the beauty of living in BP. Bought me to different places to try assam pedas, mee racun, pasar karat etc. But I figure it out myself that the beauty is actually in u. U impressed me. (acewahhhh sgwttt kan)

So in whatever situation you r in, always put ur trust on Allah. He knows best and He always has better plans for u. Alhamdulillah, I can finally call Batu Pahat a home.
